Q: When are your classes?
A: Classes will be announced via Instagram and Tik Tok, so please keep an eye out for any upcoming sessions. You can book directly through me or via my website. If you are looking for something more consistent, a regular 4 week training programme will be introduced in September - keep your eyes peeled!
Q: What do you offer in private sessions?
A: In my private sessions, I can offer any dance in a style of your choice. You choose the song, you choose the style. We will work on making sure the choreography is clean and precise. Additionally, if you want to learn a piece you have seen on my instagram - let me know!
Q: I can't make it - will I lose my money?
A: You MUST let the teacher know via dm/email at least 4 hours before class starts, otherwise it will be classed as a no show. Refunds for workshops are permitted with 72 hours notice - please contact Lydia directly to organise this. Rescheduling of private/1:1 group sessions must be done with at least 14 days notice. This is the studio policy and refunds will not be permitted.
Q: What style of dance will we do?
A: We will mainly focus on Commercial dance, which is under the umbrella of Hip Hop. Think energetic, full out, sassy and sharp! However - I will also offer Musical Theatre! This is Jazz Funk - where we will dance to songs from musicals.
Q: How do I get there?
A: Maryland Station (Elizabeth Line): 5 minute walk Stratford Station: 18 minute walk or 8 minute bus (69/257) Leytonstone High Road (Overground - Suffragette Line): 22 min walk or 11 minute bus (257) On-Street parking is available form 6:30pm
Q: What happens if I'm running late?
A: Please contact Lydia via Email or Instagram DM if you are running late. If you are going to be over 30 minutes late, please do not attend as it will disrupt the class. This will regrettably be classed as a no show. Top Tip: London Transport can be a pain - give yourself PLENTY of time.
Q: What time do I need to arrive?
A: Please arrive no earlier than 15 minutes early to your session but arrive at least 5 minutes before. This means everyone is ready to start on time so we can get the most out of the session!
Q: Can I record in class?
A: Of course! Please wait until the end where I'll allocate time. Please tag/credit me in any social media posts :)
Q: How old do I need to be to join?
A: You must be at least 16 years old to take class. Parental consent will be needed if you are under 18.
Proof of age may be required.
Q: What do I need to wear?
A: Dance is about expression and I would love to see everybodies inidivual style! However, please wear trainers with appropriate grip on the bottom. Movement clothes are always best (stay away from denim or clothes that restrict your movement)
Cancellation Policy
At Dance with Lyds, we understand that life can be unpredictable. Our cancellation policy ensures flexibility while maintaining fairness to all participants and the smooth running of our classes.
Dance With Lyds – Booking & Cancellation Policy Bookings: Dance With Lyds runs ad hoc workshops, as well as private 1:1 and small group sessions, all of which must be booked in advance and are subject to availability. Cancellation & Rescheduling: For ad hoc workshops, you may cancel or reschedule with at least 72 hours’ notice. For private 1:1 and small group bookings, a minimum of 14 days’ notice is required to reschedule, in accordance with the studio's policy. Cancellations made after these notice periods are non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled. Lateness Policy: If you arrive more than 30 minutes late, entry is not guaranteed, and the session will be marked as missed. If you're running late, please email in advance to let us know your estimated arrival time. We recommend allowing extra travel time due to potential delays on London transport. General Terms: All bookings are non-refundable once the cancellation window has passed. Rescheduling is subject to availability and not guaranteed. Missed or unused sessions cannot be refunded or carried over. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
